A kitchen timer earns its drawer space on the day two things cook at once. The four-event model runs four counts side by side, which is one pot of rice, a tray of vegetables, a roast resting and a second batch proofing, each with its own alarm. A phone does one of those at a time and locks its screen with your hands in the dough.
The other three are single-count timers separated by one honest question: what is the kitchen like when the alarm goes. The extra-loud model carries across a range hood on full; the extra-large display reads from the far side of the room; the touch screen wipes clean with a floured knuckle. All four hold to the fridge door by the magnet and count up past zero, so you also learn by how much the recipe lied.

Can your Escali timer run more than one count at once?
The four-event model runs four, each with its own alarm, which is a holiday stove in one magnet-backed instrument. The other three run one count each and differ in how they announce it: extra loud, extra large, or a touch screen.
Will you hear an Escali timer over a range hood?
The extra-loud model exists for exactly that kitchen. If the alarm has to carry upstairs instead, the magnetic back means the timer can travel with you and keep counting on the fridge, a shelf or a filing cabinet.
Do Escali timers count up as well as down for you?
They count down to the alarm and then keep counting past zero, so you also know by how long you missed it. The clock mode makes them a plain kitchen clock between jobs.
